Nottingham Street Style - September

It's time for this months street style, sadly I didn't come across any stylish boys this week but I shall try harder next month ladies! The majority of these images are of Nottingham Trent Uni freshers as I was there most of the time, but there are a few others mixed in:

Love the splash of neon in this look!

Beautifully Casual!

This lovely lady looked amazing, I'd love to see more of her outfits!

So I've numbered these photos simply to make it easier for you guys when discussing each girls style. I love numbers 3, 10, 13 and of course my big sis in 15! It'd be great to hear if you have a favourite, and if your going to try out any of these styles?

Monthly Bloggers - September

It's the end of the month which means we have bloggers of the month again! The feature has changed a little and now you get to read some interview answers from these fab bloggers.
Simply click the images to find the blog:

How would you describe your style?

If say my style is kind of grungy but quite girly at the same time. I love my camo jacket, I literally wear it with everything & my studded flatform boots are my go to shoes!

Where are your favourite places to shop?

Definitely ebay for bargain buys, ASOS for good quality 'on trend' items & good old Primark & H&M for bargain high street buys.

What are your favourite trends for the upcoming A/W?

I am loving the whole goth trend that's going around recently. You really can't beat all black, lace, studs & a slick of red lippie in my books!

If you don't already follow Heathers lovely blog you should check it out here.

What is your favourite thing about being a blogger?
I love how much inspiration it gives me. It's great being able to read about real people, buying realistic items and them looking so great! It's amazing getting fashion diy ideas too! I think bloggers have the most original style and people shouldn't underestimate the trends they can set!

How would you describe your style?

Dot Cotton mixed with Marilyn Manson! One day i'm a vintage granny with a binidi, the next day i'm a goth. I love all styles and love inspiration from other cultures.

Where are your favourite places to shop?
I mainly shop on eBay, at car boot sales and charity shops. I like to mix it up with the high street too and try to wear at least one second hand item in my outfit. Topshop and Urban Outfitters have great pieces, it's just a shame when you see 84729 others in the same dress so I try to make it a little less generic.

What are your favourite trends for the upcoming A/W?
I adore the matching shorts/trousers and blazer trend. Warehouse has a beautiful one. I also love neon accessories and leather panelling.

Find Jess' blog Velvet Daisy here.

Where are your favourite places to shop?

I love shopping in charity shops and markets when I can, and I find a lot of stuff on ebay and etsy, but I do also shop in high street stores like H&M, Topshop and Urban Outfitters, I think old and new pieces mix together really nicely.

If you could raid anyone's wardrobe, whose would it be?

I'd love to raid perhaps Alexa Chung, Charlotte Free's or Alice Dellal's wardrobe, they all have such awesome style and I can imagine there'd be some gorgeous vintage pieces in there.

What are your favourite trends for the upcoming A/W?

I am loving the military trend at the moment!  simple cuts and prints go so well together and anything studded is totally up my street!

Levis, a Crop and a Cardi

Cardigan - Oasap, Crop - Motel Rocks, Shorts - Levis, Boots - H&M, Belt - Primark

Albus wanted to join in!

How beauts is this cardigan, I'm in love. It will really brighten up some of my dull outfits in Winter when I get stuck in a rut with the snow and wind (Sigh). You can find the cardigan here on Oasap, there is another version in pastel blues and greens - very pretty! You can also find my crop top on Motel Rocks!

I'm not sure if you can tell my hair has a little more volume than usual, well I hope you can as I'm rather impressed with it! I used Big Shampoo from Lush, and I have been converted, I adore the stuff, it adds alot of volume to my hair. I washed my hair once with my usual shampoo and then used Big the second time.

Now I'm off to edit the Street Style photos for this weekends post :)

Mink Pink

I just wanted to share some inspirational images of a Mink Pink global collection 2012 from their website. I think I could wear Mink Pink and Mink Pink only for the rest of my life and I would be happy! I am in desperate need of the daisy set and the cat yin yang tee. Even if you're not a fan of Mink Pinks clothing I'm sure plenty of you will love the photos from this shoot

I'm Blue

Dress - Motel Rocks, Skirt - ASOS, Boots - H&M

This is an outfit I wore last week to meet my friend Jess before she headed off for Uni, but I didn't get chance to photograph the outfit until now. I adore this skirt, it's from ASOS you can grab a similar one here and here. It's great for the gothic A/W look, so it seemed pretty perfect to pair with my Motel Rocks gothic placement dress! Motel have some fab gothic themed items in at the moment, and you can grab 20% off using my code 'chelseajade' at the check out, plus they offer free delivery - Score!

My lipstick you may remember from a previous post, which is from Lush's Emotional Brilliance range. I managed to bag this one half price as I got offered the discount at a blogger event I posted about before. I adore this colour and it would be gorgeous as an eyeliner for those of you not brave enough for the lip colour! Some of you may not be a fan - my dad told me I looked like I had been sucking on an ice lolly haha - but the colour slides on perfectly as it's a liquid lipstick. Lush have plenty of colours to choose from so you should check out your local store to see which ones you love!

And finally a mahooosive thankyou to all you lovelies, I've reached 700 followers! And to say thankyou I'm holding a Giveaway :)

48 Hours Of Fashion - Nottingham

A fashion event coming soon to Nottingham, how very exciting. Midlands bloggers don't need the travel to London or admire the images of our southern bloggers, we are having a fantastic event right here in Nottingham! I was so happy to find out that there is an event here, after all Nottingham Trent is well known for its fashion courses and we are pretty good with personal style as you can see from my Nottingham Style Feature, and of course it's Sir Paul Smith's home town. So a massive thankyou The Nottingham Retail Business Improvement District for planning this event!!

Nottingham is already a major city for fashion but hopefully this event will strengthen the cities status as a place for fashion and style! Top fashion photographer Guy Farrow has been in Nottingham to take shots for the event. His work will be seen around Nottingham to promote 48 Hours of Fashion!

Keep an eye out in Nottingham for these images! There will be four main parts of the event taking place across the city centre.

Fashion Shows - Nottingham Fashion Retailers will be styling the models for the fashion shows taking place in Broadmarsh Centre and more locations. This is a show like no other, there will be model dancers presenting choreographed performances.

Style Hub - Head over to Victoria Centre to find the styling hub, there will be a body scanner for your very own body shape analysis and if that wasn't cool enough you can get your own hair and beauty makeover! Also find a stylist to hear about this years Autumn Winter collections.

48 Hour Wardrobe - Keeping up with the Autumn Winter theme the 48 hour wardrobe presents this season's collections, including stylist presentations on the perfect capsule wardrobe pieces for the season!

The Fashion Ambassadors - There will be ambassadors of the event wandering around the city in a fabulous winter coat from this seasons collections. These lovely boys and girls will be promoting the event directly to the public!

So if you're free Friday 12th and Saturday 13th October get your butts over to Nottingham to checkout the event, and for those of you outside of Nottingham check out mega train for some cheap train tickets.

Will be great to see some of you there!

Upcycle, studs and old shirts

Hey you beauties,
I don't have an outfit post for you guys today but I thought I would share something I've been up to recently. I have some pieces for me to DIY and sell on on eBay and here are some of the items:

Studded Shirt

Vintage Ethnic Print Shirt

Black military style studded shirt

Studded yellow shirt

There are a few more pieces on eBay, it would be lovely of you to check them out! I've had quite abit of spare time and have lots of old shirts etc to sell so I thought I might as well spruce them up a little with some studs!

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend

Studs & Dogtooth

Crop Top - Motel, Leggings - H&M, Belt - Vintage, Bag - Oasap, Boots - H&M

This is an outfit featuring a few of my new pieces, the plunge crop top is from Motel Rocks, I adore it! You can find it here, and grab 20% off all clothing with discount code 'chelseajade'. I got these dog tooth leggings in the sale from H&M just the other day for £7, they are pretty thick and high waisted so you can get away with them as trousers as long as you aren't rocking bright pink undies girlies - I'm not sure we all want to see that. My boots are also from H&M courtesy of one of my best friends - Katey - Thankyou sweetie! And finally on my newbies list is this bag, its from Oasap and the quality is much better than I had anticipated. It's nice and structured which makes it perfect for my camera, with enough room for all the essentials! At only £18.20 you can't complain (plus Oasap is free shipping ladies) the bag comes with two straps.

As you all seem to enjoy my street style features I'm starting abit earlier this month, I'm hoping to get lots of photos to share with you. Also I want to snap some stylish males as I don't get as many, so I'm off to my freshers fair to scout out the fresh meat and possible fashionistas! If any of you are from Nottingham, I'll be hanging around Trent Uni next week in town give me a tweet if you are around and fancy being snapped (@chelseameeow).

Blogger Interview - Miss Iffa

Hey lovelies, I have a different kind of post for you today, inspired by the new feature over on Miss Iffa, as some of you may have seen she has started a new blogger interveiw feature of which I was the first. So below I have an interview with Iffa so you can find out more about her and her blog:

1) Why did you decide to start a blog?
I've always loved the idea of blogging, I thought of it as owning your own little space of the internet. Fashion is very important to me, and I wanted a platform to showcase my style from. I saw other bloggers and what they did and got inspired, making me want to start my own blog. I actually used to blog from Tumblr, but then shifted over to Blogger: best. decision. ever! I've met some wonderful people through Blogger!

2) What is your favourite thing about being a blogger?
love the blogging community! Every blogger I have met so far has been so lovely, friendly and just wonderful! It makes me very proud to know that I belong to such a community, and that in itself is such an experience. I love seeing other people's style and how they adapt certain garments to fit their personality. It's also lovely receiving emails from PR companies who are interested to collaborate with you; blogging is a two-way experience that is certainly very rewarding.
